Sunday Matinee

Foreign Investment proposed a joyful musical singing event in collaboration with elderly residents of the newly built Riverview Apartments in Kinsman Court, Liverpool.

Foreign Investment designed an afternoon programme of music, visual surprises and tasty pleasures. Tenants will have opportunities to mingle with artists, celebrity guest
Roger Phillips from BBC Merseyside, local musicians and dancers. Foreign Investment composed a celebration of the senses: taste, touch, gaze, hearing and smell. The hosts and guests will become the artists for an afternoon: Everybody can be an artist!
This event is designed to transform guests and hosts into the sculptors of a beautiful celebration.

Background:
The term “Haus Musik” is best translated as a family or a family-sized group of amateur musicians getting together to make music for their own enjoyment in the house. That is, music at home.  Whilst “music at home” or “sing song” allures to the familiarity of the occasion, the German word refers to a chamber orchestra inviting friends to the house for a special soiree.
