Conceived and choreographed by foreign investment, Moonshine Walk was an art event for the people of St. Helens to celebrate life - future and present! Over 350 people gathered at Sutton Manor Colliery on the evening of Saturday 1st March 2008 to climb the former colliery hill, accompanied by the Parr Brass Band, choreographed gymnasts, a donkey, Winston the juggler, Barry the Bold Street busker, Jon Wilkin from the Saints Rugby Club, painted 'art quote' placards, commissioned bonfires, unique umbrellas, children from local primary schools with self-made lanterns and two specially created Sutton Manor cakes.
